We are growing and looking for Pool Service Technician's Assistants to learn the ins and outs of the residential swimming pool industry while assisting our technicians to provide the highest level of customer satisfaction.
This entry level position works directly with the Service Manager and Lead Pool/Spa Technician. He/She will handle all other duties as assigned and help drive Pro Pools success and maintain exceptional customer assistance by providing services which include:
• Removing and installing pool covers and pool equipment.
• Performing swimming pool cleanings and testing the pool water.
• Helps to carry related materials to and from work van.
• Load and unload truck for the daily routes.
• Interacts with Service Technician and office staff on repair and inspection schedule. Maintains working relationship to promote quality of work and scheduling efficiency.
• Assists Technician in performing small general swimming pool and pool equipment repairs: including crack repairs, leak detection and plumbing repairs.
• Assists in service, repair, and replace swimming pool equipment.
• Responsible for accurate and timely documentation of all pool services performed.
Must be able to sit, stand, stoop, twist and bend at the waist, turn, kneel, squat, raise arms above shoulder height, grasp, reach, perform repetitive hand movements and fine coordination to work on equipment, have vision sufficient to read blueprints, circuit boards, labels, safety information; have hearing in the normal range with or without correction. In an 8-hour shift, must be able to transport self across the facility, residential, and commercial client properties, ascend and descend stair steps, maintain balance on unstable ground, walkways, stone pathways, pool edge; lift objects up to 100 lbs. from floor level to waist height, climb and work off a ladder or scaffold; use arms and back to tighten and loosen nuts and bolts; carry a 50-pound tool box up a flight of stairs; work in confined spaces and wear and use appropriate safety equipment.
Our Customer Care Duties Include:
• Pleasantly, with a smile and enthusiasm, greet every customer encountered upon arrival
• Daily clock-in / clock-out
• Be knowledgeable in promoting various sales events throughout the year
• Maintain working knowledge of all in-store chemical brands and specialty chemicals
• Maintain working knowledge of various pool & spa equipment/parts
• End of day cleaning of service truck to remove the trash, organize stock, prep for next day
Job Type:Full-Time; Minimum 42 weeks per year
Salary: $12.00 - $20.00 Depending on Experience Level
