Closing & winterization Service

​OWNER’S RESPONSIBILITY and PRO POOLS RESPONSIBILITY

​PRO POOLS Closing Includes: Backwashing filter, lowering water level accordingly to accommodate your cover type, removal of water from all pool lines and equipment, plugging return & skimmer lines using plugs/Gizmos supplied by owner, addition of non-toxic anti-freeze to skimmers and water features for additional protection; winterization of all pool equipment according to manufactures' specifications; disconnection of power and gas services to equipment (when possible - customer will be notified if disconnection must be done inside the home),  removal of DE filter grid assembly/filter cartridges (cleaning option available), removal of all pool deck equipment (ladders, handrails, etc.), and addition of winter closing chemicals including winter algaecide, non-chlorine shock and sequestering agent to prevent staining. 
Customer Responsibilities: Balance water, Clean your pool filter system, vacuum and remove all debris from pool if desired, make certain electrical power is available to power vac/blower, provide winterizing plugs, freeze protection devices (GIZZMO's)and winter cover are available at pool side, Turn off electrical power once service is completed, Store removed accessories as desired, Make certain water and hose is available to fill water bags, Store ORP and pH Sensors in a climate controlled environment
 
1. POOL MUST BE VACUUMED AND FREE OF ALL DEBRIS. Pool vacuuming and leaf removal is not part of Pro Pools service and is not included in this service offer.
2. POOL WATER MUST BE CLEAR AND CHEMICALLY BALANCED PRIOR TO WINTERIZATION. Pro Pools will not assume responsibility and/or liability for damage to pool INTERIOR resulting from existing water conditions, i.e. staining, calcium scale, corrosion and/or stain-causing debris.
3. SOLAR COVER TO BE REMOVED FROM POOL AND POOL AREA by OWNER. If Solar Cover is not removed, Pro Pools will not be responsible for dirt & debris falling into the pool.
4. OWNER MUST SUPPLY OPERABLE OUTSIDE ELECTRICAL OUTLET FOR OPERATION OF PRO POOLS WINTERIZATION EQUIPMENT.
5. PRO POOLS TO PLACE AND SECURE WINTER COVER, IF CONTRACTED. OWNER TO HAVE COVER AND ALL SECURING ITEMS, I.E. WATER TUBES, TIE DOWN STRAPS, TRACK LOCK BEAD, READY AND POOLSIDE FOR INSTALLATION BY PRO POOLS. Missing or defective items will be replaced by Pro Pools and will be billed for payment due upon completion of winterization service. This contract service is limited to the initial placement of the winter cover. Owner is responsible for monitoring and correcting cover position after Pro Pools departure and during winter months. Pro Pools will not assume any warranty for the condition of the pool cover and/or securing devices at time of installation or during the winter season. Unless specifically instructed by Owner, Pro Pools will not install any damaged covers or covers which do not fit.
6. All RETURN LINE PLUGS AND SKIMMER “GIZMO” PLUG(S) WILL BE PLACED AT POOLSIDE FOR INSTALLATION  If plugs/Gizmos are not made available, Pro Pools will supply and bill for needed items.
7. Customer is responsible to store ORP and pH Sensors in a climate controlled environment. Cannot freeze.
8. ELECTRICAL and/or GAS LINE SERVICES: Pro Pools will secure the electrical and/or gas line services to the pool equipment providing the disconnects are located at the equipment area. Customer responsible to disconnect any power to timers or equipment over the winter months.

The intent of these TERMS AND CONDITIONS is to establish a clear understanding of the duties and responsibilities of both the OWNER and Pro Pools LLC. so the service work can be done according to schedule and price contracted herein.

​RESIDENTIAL SWIMMING POOL CLOSING TERMS

Our Service Dept operates Between: 8:00am 6:00pm cannot give specific appointment times.
All work is scheduled on a first come first serve basis. We cannot guarantee any times other than first job of the day. We can assume no responsibility for delays beyond our control due to strikes, accidents, weather etc.

1. The customer acknowledges that Pro Pools is providing a service only. This agreement does not carry any warranty against freeze damage to pool, equipment, underground lines, or water clarity.                               
2. Pro Pools will not be expected to perform any work other than that which is herein contracted.
3. Pro Pools will not be held responsible and/or liable for damages or added expenses for delays of contract date caused by shortages, i.e. gasoline, parts, accessories, etc. or weather conditions, strikes, acts of God or other circumstances beyond the control of Pro Pools or for any ensuing damages and/or pool operational expenses caused by said delays.
4. Due to possible pre-existing conditions, Pro Pools does not warranty pool service work or make an expressed or implied warranty of pool structure, deck, piping or any associated pool equipment.
5. Pro Pools will not assume responsibility and/or liability for damages incurred by removal and re-installation of equipment parts which are corroded, rusted or otherwise deteriorated. Repairs and/or replacements will be made at Owner’s expense.
6. At Winterization, Pro Pools will not be expected to be responsible for any missing or damaged items of pool equipment stored on Owner’s property under their care and keeping.
7. This agreement and any addenda in writing, constitute the entire contract of the parties. Pro Pools is not bound to any commitments or agreements not specified in this contract.
8. We do need to use electric to close pools, it must be on and available. If we arrive and electric is not available, you will need to reschedule your appointment and pay a trip charge of $100.00
9. This service does not include balancing chemicals, it is your responsibility to have the water balanced prior to our arrival. This is extremely important to avoid damage to heaters, liner, and all equipment. Non-Chlorine shock and algaecide will be added to the pool. Chemicals required will be billed separate. This service does not include vacuuming the pool, we will close it in the condition found upon arrival.
10. If contracted to install your winter cover, should this service require additional water bags, cable, or winches, they will be billed in addition to the closing price. The customer is responsible for maintaining the cover and water level after the service is completed. We are not responsible if the cover comes off/falls in due to product failure, wind, or accumulations. If called back to reinstall cover, an additional service call will be charged.
